x2 + 1 + 2x = 0 

(x + 1) (x + 1) = 0

x = – 1

(x4 – x) = (– 1)4 – (– 1) = 1 + 1 = 2

Q2. (C) 20% of maximum marks/अधिकतम अंकों का 20% + 30 = Passing marks/उत्तीर्णांक

32% of maximum marks/अधिकतम अंकों का 32% – 42 = Passing marks/उत्तीर्णांक

12% = 72

100% =  = 600

x = 100 – 85 = 15%
